What is SPARC?
Scoped Precision AR Competition

A precision rifle series that tests speed and accuracy at known distances, from different positions. Marksmanship-focused—not a fitness test.

How a match runs

  • · 5+ stages, 90-second par per stage
  • · Known distances (no range estimation)
  • · Target impact to move onto the next target; after 3 attempts you may opt to skip
  • · Unlimited rounds within par time
  • · Squads move through stages together

What We Test
Stages are designed to test shooter's skills under time pressure and scored based on final time.
Position & Stability
Solid, repeatable positions from barricades and props.
Speed Under Pressure
Clean shots within par time.
Target Acquisition
Engage at given distances and angles.
Precision & Accuracy
Impact to move on; 3 attempts then you may skip.
Stage Strategy
Read the course of fire and adapt on the clock.
How Scoring Works

1. Stage Time

Your stage time is recorded. +20 seconds is added for every non-engaged target.

2. Match Result

All stage times are combined. The fastest total time wins the match.

3. Match Points

Winner = 100 points. All other shooters earn points based on their time relative to the winner.

Example:

Winner time 400 sec

Your time 500 sec

(400 ÷ 500) × 100 = 80 points

4. Season Standings

  • · Top 3 matches count toward the season
  • · Finale counts double (up to 200 points)
Divisions
Semi-auto only; one rifle per match

General Purpose Rifle (GPR)

  • · Barrel < 16.5" (excl. muzzle device)
  • · No adjustable parallax; 1.5x base, 10x max
  • · Most LPVOs qualify

Open

  • · Anything that doesn't fit GPR
  • · .308 or less; under 3200 fps
